Product Details
A Scottish Woodland Wrap is a gorgeous take on lace and cable knitting inspired by the twisting knots of tree roots and their branches in the woodland in Scotland where the designer lives.
This wrap uses 770m (840 yards) of fingering weight yarn.
The pattern includes a chart for the lace and cable work. The even rows of the lace is worked in plain purl. The lace and cable stitches involved include:
- yarn over
- k2tog / p2tog
- ssk / ssp
- sl1-k2tog-psso
- knit through back loop / purl through back of loop
- Place 2 sts on cable needle put to back, k1 through back loop, from cable needle, p1, k1 through back loop
- Place 1 st on cable needle put to front, k1 through back loop, p1, from cable needle, k1 through back loop
It is knitted flat as a long rectangle with a simple rib stitch (k1, p1) border along the bottom and top edges. There is a narrow garter stitch edging along the side edges.
