Product Details
Inspired by a box of crayons, this design can be made in as many colors as you want, as a scarf or a headband in any size and any yarn weight, with woven-looking lines of colors scribbled over striping background colors. The contrasting pointed wedges are meant to resemble crayons, pointing asymmetrically into the piece throughout the body.
While the design is purposely meant to be able to use tons of different colors, complete with techniques to take care of the ends as you go and minimize finishing, the pattern also works nicely in as few as three different colors, and it works really great with five or six colors, so you can use as many as you like.
The ties on the ends can be either braided or twisted; for the scarf, these ties mean that you can fasten it into a cowl and wear it lots of different ways. It also makes sizing even more versatile, as you can make a short scarf and tie it on into a cowl!
While the pattern will work in any weight, it's recommended that you do
