Product Details
This pattern was created with the beginner lace knitter in mind.
A sort of sample of lace stitches, this triangle shawl will introduce you to 6 different lace stitches that are only worked on the right side of the garment and each wrong side is simply purled. The shawl is worked in layers of lace to give an over-all impression of a fancy layered cake.
May I suggest choosing a yarn that is more on the tonal side rather than variegated or heavily speckled. A simpler colourway will show off the lace much more clearly and really showcase all the hard work you put in to define those stitches (I have learned this the hard way, a couple times).
The finished size should be roughly about 72” on the longest edge after blocking, but feel free to keep going by adding more layers of lace on if you have enough yarn. I used almost 2 full skeins of Hedgehog Fibres skinny singles.
