Product Details
Selena is a semi-circular shawlette worked in a sock weight yarn.
It is knitted sideways in striped garter stitch pattern. The floral border is added afterwards by picking up the stitches along the curved edge and knitting top-down.
The size can be adjusted by working more stripes and more border repeats (instructions are given) or by using different weight yarn and/or using different size needles.
The design is simple enough to be easily followed by a novice lace knitter yet absorbing to hold the interest of an advanced knitter. One should also be familiar with basic crochet technique for finishing off
The shawlette uses only 1 full skein of base colour yarn and 0.55 skein of contrast colour giving the grand total of 620 meters. Perfect for using odd skeins of yarn.
The pattern is written and lace border is also charted.
