Product Details
Semblance shawl begins with a few stitches and is knit sideways into a triangle. The lace body of the shawl is easy to work and really only contains a few rows of lace per repeat.
The ribbed border looks like brioche but it is really a variation of fisherman's rib. After a few minutes of practise you will find this stitch very simple to work.
The fringe along the bind off edge is optional but adds a stylish touch. You must block the shawl to truly bring out the beauty of both the lace and the ribbed border.
Use fingering or sport weight wool for this project. Approximately 600 m / 650 yds for the size shown.
The pattern contains your choice of chart or written instructions for the lace.
