Product Details
I designed this scarf for my hubby… Not quite his normal single colour rectangle or the more daring rectangle with a couple of risque stripes at each end.
It may look complex but is suitable for beginners - colours, texture and lots of stripes - only one colour is worked per row.
It can be made in just two colours – it is very effective just using a variegated yarn with a solid contrast colour - up to two different colours for each block as a real stash/scrap buster.
The sample scarf worked 10 'blocks' in 4 colours, using approximately 400 yards in total. It measures approximately 72" x 8.5" (184 x 22 cm). Each block adds approximately 7"/17.75 cm to the length of the scarf.
It is not reversible but does lie flat – lining is not necessary.
The pattern is charted using StitchMastery and includes full written instructions.
Stitches used: k, p, s1p
