This cowl is made with a single skein of sock yarn that even had a little left over. It’s knit flat and then joined in the round after cast off and finished with a crochet mock i-cord edge. This has not been blocked as I’d like the cushy feel of the fabric and the texture of the ribbing.
The size is fairly generic, but if you desire more fabric around your neck and want the cowl a bit looser, it is easy to add a few more inches on before you join in the round and finish the edges.
Gauge is not too important, you want to make sure that the fabric is loose and maintains a soft, spongy feel. If you’re unsure on needle size, I suggest using what is indicated on the ball band of your yarn.
I have not had this pattern test knit. Good luck and let me know of errors or other notes that may be helpful for future knitters
