As a committed traveler, the concept of shoulder seasons is quite familiar to me: the term refers to spring and fall. In my opinion these are the perfect times to wear a DK-weight lace knit scarf for just the right amount of warmth during the cooler evenings (and misty days). This scarf is a suitable project for intermediate-level knitters.
I used less than one full skein of Miss Babs Killington DK for this lace accessory.
ERRATA: 1. In the abbreviations, S2kp should read Sk2p: slip one stitch, knit two together, pass slipped stitch over; 2. There is an error near the top of page 4 and mid page 5 - instead of "repeat rows 5-12 a total of 12 times" it should read "repeat rows 5-8 a total of 12 times". 3. The written directions for the end of the wrong-side rows (even-numbered rows) in the second pattern (pages 4 and 5) are not correct. The last 7 stitches for rows 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, and 16 should read: k2, p1tbl, k2, p1tbl, k1.
