Product Details

These gorgeous chunky mittens are as fun to make as they are to wear.

The rib pattern will ensure you get a perfectly snug fit, ideal for keeping in the warmth, while the cable twists look great and are super simple to do. If you are new to cable techniques this pattern is a good place to start.

The mittens are worked flat, again making this a perfect pattern for beginners, and you’ll use the cast on / cast off tails to sew up the seams.

I’ve used super bright colours – vital for banishing those winter blues – including a gorgeous hand-dyed yarn teamed with a striking contrasting colour for the cuff and the trim.

The main colour I used for the pattern sample is hand-dyed by What Mustard Made and the contrast colour is Paintbox Aran Wool Mix. If you want to change the main colour you'll need approx 83m / 90 yards of your chosen substitute.

These mittens are quick and simple to make so they’re just the ticket whether you’re knitting them for yourself or as a gift.
