Simple Knit Lace Shawl

This super simple knitting pattern is for a beginner eyelet lace shawl pattern. The finished dimensions of this shawl are 47 inches long and 10.5 inches at its widest point. You will need to know the following terms to complete this pattern, casting on, knit, kfb, k2tog, yo and casting off. Gauge is garter stitch 20 stitches by 38 rows equals 1ocm/4" To complete this pattern you will need: 4.5mm knitting needles, 4ply acrylic yarn in 2 colours (I used Stylecraft Special 4 ply in shades 1080 Pale Rose and 1005 Cream - you will need 65g or 274m of each colour), scissors, tapestry needle and tape measure (for a portion of the pattern a removable stitch marker might be useful but that is totally optional) This is a hold your hand pattern, where every row is written out for you (if you print your pattern you can easily mark which rows you've done to make it easier for yourself) and there is a running stitch count so you'll know very quickly if you've made a mistake.
