The design is worked worked in a three-part, modular fashion without seams or stitch pick-ups. Each section has short rows with color and texture changes.
Finished Size 16 inches wide X 60 inches long. Yarn 2 contrasting colors, fingering weight yarn. 300-350 yards per skein. Mini skein of “pop” color. 90-100 yards 600-700 yards total of three different colors. Needles and Notions US #5 (3.75mm), 24-32 inch circular needle. Cable needle or DPN for one cable twist. US #6 needle of any form. Only used for bind off. Tapestry needle. Stitch markers. Extra needle of same or slightly smaller size or waste yarn for putting stitches on hold. Gauge 22 sts X 32 rows over 4 inches, stockinette. Gauge isn’t important for a shawl, really. But differing gauge would change the size and the amount of yarn used.
