Knit using aran /#4/ worsted yarn, this pattern creates a beautiful, textured pillow cover with the effect of smocking and has a three button closure.
Requiring a cable needle, the stitch pattern is quick to master but there is a lot of work involved in making this pillow cover. I think the effect is worthwhile though!
The pattern is written line by line with the smocked pattern repeating over 12 rows. Your finished pillow cover should fit a 16"x16” (40x40cm) pillow.
