Product Details
Worked in a cosy DK-weight Wensleydale, Smoke and Mirrors is not what it seems at first sight. The deceptively simple patterning is created using a form of mosaic knitting, in which just one colour is used in each round – the colourwork illusion results from alternating knitted and slipped stitches, as for a standard heel flap. The only difference here is that the yarn float is held on the right side, creating a pattern in texture as well as colour.
Smoke and Mirrors is knitted from the top down, with a traditional heel flap and a round toe.
