Product Details
A reversible cable snood, inspired by Laura Biagotti, was my point of origin. I choose the delicious wool and alpaca mixture from Berroco called Ultra Alpaca Fine, and held it double to make the cables pop.
Needles: 4 mm/US 6 circular needle 80 cm or straight needles. Adjust needle size as needed to match gauge.
Notions: Stitch markers, cable needle (cn), waste yarn and yarn needle.
Gauge: 22 sts and 30 rows in st st with 2 strands of yarn held together measures 10 cm square.
Notes: All selvedge and middle stitches except the ones next to a cable are knitted in rib. The stitch next to the cable is a garter stitch, while the stitch between the front and back cable is worked in stockinette stitch and then unraveled from last row down to the yarn over on the set-up row. The snood can either be joined together using matress stitches or grafted together.
