Product Details
These little Winter mittens, featuring Robins in the snow, can be knitted up in an evening or two by a confident beginner/intermediate knitter. They are knitted flat, on single point needles, with a stitched side seam. The 'redbreast' is knitted separately & the mittens are finished with simple embroidered feet & beak and stitched on felt eyes.
The pattern is in four sizes, to suit all ages, with the baby size being thumbless.
Measurements for the four sizes are given in the pattern but can be altered as required by adding extra rows or using a different sized needle.
I have made my mittens in DK washable anti-tickle 100% wool for extra cosiness, but the pattern is suitable for most DK yarns of choice.
Techniques required for this pattern:- Casting on & off, Knit & Purl stitches, increasing & decreasing, stitching up, simple embroidery.
The pattern is in PDF format, on 5 pages, with row by row instructions.
