Product Details
Sock or fingering yarn creates the lightest beanie in my Guy hat collection. This classic style is updated with a wide band of narrow texture stripes. A slightly heavier version of Sock Guy can be made in sport-weight yarn.
This beanie has a bit of slouch on the mannequins, but that’s because they have short-ish heads. The depth of this hat will be a standard beanie fit on most men; however, the pattern also includes instructions for a longer hat with slouch.
The pattern uses U.S. crochet terminology.
SIZES Small (Medium, Large, Extra Large) to fit head circumferences of 21 (22, 23, 24) in./53 (56, 58, 61) cm
NOTE: This design uses a looser gauge than normal for sock/fingering-weight yarn to create a light, drapey beanie. For sport-weight yarn, this is a recommended gauge and creates a firm fabric with good body.
