[Shawl #6 from the Mythos Collection][1]
Solar Flare is named for Apollo, the Greek and Roman god of the sun, music, poetry, healing, and prophecy. Apollo is the son of Zeus/Jupiter and twin brother to Artemis/Diana. He is most often portrayed as a young man wearing a laurel wreath atop his head and playing a lyre.
With its semi-circular shape and eyelet rays, the Solar Flare shawl is intended to represent the sun.
Solar Flare is worked from the center top (shortest row) down to the longest row. Lifted (m1) increases shape the center stockinette portion of the shawl. Once blocked, these lifted increases will show as small eyelets extending in rays from the cast on.
