Product Details
This asymmetric triangular shawl was designed for the “woolbox November 2021” from Alte Kuenste. It maximizes a single skein in fingering or sports weight (100g = 330-460 yards / 300-420 meter) to get a wearable shawl. You can also use one large skein of 150g which are offered by some hand dyers, or 3x50g skeins - just knit until you are out of yarn! To show the different directions of the ribbing, use a solid, semi-solid or speckled yarn. A gentle gradient would also work.
The shawl is started at the right corner and worked to the left edge. Clever placement of in- and decreases first set up a handful of ribs that run along the lower edge. Then the in- and decreases are changed, forming ribbing on the bias for the remainder of the shawl. At this point the pattern can easy be memorized and continued without the instructions on hand.
