Product Details
Soushun, early spring in Japanese, is a long boxy cardigan, worked from the top down seamlessly with two yarns held together throughout.
The most part of the body is knitted in Stockinette stitch, with a tiny cable pattern flowing from the collar to the front band. You can add optional pockets to the fronts.
The collar is worked first with a cable pattern and slipped stitch edge (SSE), then stitches are cast on for the front shoulders and worked to the underarms. The back stitches are picked up along the front shoulders and collar and worked to the underarm as well. The front and back are then joined, and the lower body is worked in one piece to the hem, with optional bag-like pockets on the fronts. The sleeves are worked top-down in the round.
