Knit a cover for that ugly spare wheel on the back of your SUV. It also makes it easier to find in the car park!
This is a photo tutorial on how to knit entrelac in a flat circle. Worked in an intriguing entrelac pattern in the round – small rectangles worked on the bias, each picked up from the sides of the one below – it uses a circular needle and bulky yarn in two colours.
This pattern is written for Sean Sheep’s “Filo Grande” (250 gms = 300 m), but any similar thickness yarn can be used. However, weatherproof yarn – acrylic or machine-washable – is a must!
Or you could make a cushion – use the same pattern in DK/8 ply or worsted/10 ply yarn and 4.5 mm (US 7) - 5 mm (US 8) needles. Simply make 2 circles, without the chevron pattern edge, then join them together.
