Product Details

Stratigraphic - Definition: pertaining to the study of rock layers When I visited Zion National Park, I was awed by the dramatic rock formations. Everywhere you look, it seems to be different. The layers have shifted, or angled, or changed texture. They all blend together into one beautiful park, and yet they’re all so different.

This is a special design, in that every version will be different, and yet the same, just like the beautiful rock layers of Zion. I have prepared six stitch patterns that fit together like rock layers, but I’m not going to tell you what order to put them in. Copy my randomized pattern (detailed on page 5), do them in order 1-6, or roll a dice to choose the next stitch pattern. Don’t like the roll? Roll again. There are no rules here. Our cowls will be the same size, and begin and end the same way, but each will be its own adventure along the way.

This cowl was designed in collaboration with Montana Crochet!
