Product Details

The striped skunk is a carnivore in the Mephitidae family, this literally meaning 'stink'. This skunks’ stripes, instead of serving as camouflage, are actually meant to attract attention, pointing out the critters’ most formidable weapon: its’ sickening stench spray gun, that has a range of over 3 meters! Luckily, there’s no need to be put off knitting your own striped skunk and its’ baby, because it’s an easy project that ’ll come out smelling of roses.

These skunks were knitted on 2.25 mm double pointed needles (UK 13, US 1) in Lana Grossa Mohairnuovo (14) black and (08) natural and Scheepjes Merino Soft (601) Pollock. The big skunk measures 20 cm and the mini skunk 10 cm. For this easy to medium project 35 to 40 meters of yarn were used, with intarsia knitting, knitting in the round/flat and loop stitches (described in the pattern).
