Finally got this one done. Here’s my thoughts as an intermediate knitter: This sweater is definitely for the intermediate knitter and a beginner would likely really struggle with it. There are several things in the pattern that are just not explained. For instance, when to break your yarn and where to start again on the next section. The author used a few terms that I’ve never heard of that aren’t explained in the key that I also can’t find on the internet. I actually had to knit this twice because the first time I got my count off and it came out all crooked. I followed the exact yarn suggestion and sizing information and my first sweater came out very short, but I somehow also have about 5 extra skeins of yarn after making it longer the second time. So I’m perplexed. But I have a great sweater at the end of this crusade! If you use the paintbox yarn, it’s such a soft gorgeous cotton yarn. Can’t get enough of the feeling. It’s a gorgeous sweater and I love the crochet detailing around the neckline! Just beware that you will need to know how to knit with some experience for this one as it’s not intuitive. Happy to help anyone who’s working on this and is stuck.
