Product Details

This was originally named “slanted shell”, but it actually uses the Suzette Stitch pattern - a combination of simple single and double crochet’s. It’s one of my favorite stitch patterns! The combination of the two stitches together creates a nice cushion, and also a great texture.

Materials You'll Need: 80 Yards of Worsted Weight Yarn (I used Lily Sugar n Cream in Robin's Egg, Turquoise and Hot Apple), H8/5mm Crochet Hook, Tapestry Needle and optional, Jewelry Pliers

Yarn Alternatives: Bernat's Handicrafter, Red Heart's Smoothie, Paintbox Yarns Cotton Aran, Rico Creative Cotton Aran

Gauge: 16 HDC by 10 Rows = 4"

Abbreviations to Know: SC, DC

Time: About 45 minutes.

Notes
Weaving in ends of a tough yarn, like cotton yarn, can be hard on the fingers. Sore thumbs and frustration can be avoided with jewelry pliers!
