As a child, I loved nothing more than walking to the corner shop for a bag of my favourite sweets. Would it be Pineapple Cubes, Cola Bottles, Lemon Sherbets or Yorkshire Mixture? The shelves were filled with jars of these delights, and lots of them were twisted into shiny wrappers.
It was these colourfully wrapped sweets that came to my mind as I was knitting the Sweetie Socks. The texture of the knits and purls take me back to those childhood days.
The Sweetie Socks are a relaxing and straightforward pattern, making them a good choice for a less experienced knitter. The pattern is both written and charted, and is written for the magic loop method. You can of course use your preferred method.
This design will be shown to its best if you use a solid/tonal yarn.
