What you'll need
Product Details
This is a simple and unique blanket, made using the Filet technique of crochet mixed with the traditional granny square. This pattern is written in US and UK terms. Just download whichever version you prefer. It is such an addictive technique to use as you slowly see the pattern emerging with each finished row.
It uses DK yarn. You can use any to suit your preference but this will alter the size of your blanket. It uses approximately 500g of yarn. This project is also great for stash busting and would look great as a multicoloured blanket, using a different colour for each square.
If using DK yarn a 4.0mm crochet hook is required, and scissors and a tapestry needle are also needed to complete this project. Stitch markers are helpful but optional.
A larger blanket will need more yarn.
The pattern consists of written instructions as well as a chart. There is also a link to my You Tube tutorial to help. There are instructions on how to amend the size of the blanket too.
