Product Details
A solid wrap with bold, graphic lines, Tanjong Pagar is worked sideways in wedges divided by contrasting spokes and a ruffled edge is worked in intarsia as you go.
The shawl starts with the super-simple provisional Winding Cast-On which becomes the first garter-stitch spoke. Six short-row wedges are worked to the final spoke, where the cast-off across the last and first spokes completes the top edge. The bottom, semi-circular border is formed by a slightly ruffled horizontal rib which also features short rows. Step-by-step photos illustrate how to perform a special short-row technique, used for the first row on each spoke. For the ruffle, please see the link for German Short Rows(links are also in the pattern).
