Product Details

In The Silmarillion, Telperion is described like this: “The one had leaves of dark green that beneath were as shining silver, and from each of his countless flowers a dew of silver light was ever falling, and the earth beneath was dappled with the shadows of his fluttering leaves." The lovely flower-like lace motifs of this bookmark suit Telperion well, as well as being an excellent way to use up a few of those inevitable remnants of fingering weight yarn, while practising the fine art of double-knitting. I have included an illustrated guide to a few of the most common stitches used in lace knitting, and how I do these stitches in double-knitting. This pattern is a bit more challenging than my other bookmark-patterns, so I would suggest knitting one of my other bookmark patterns before trying out this one.
