Product Details
I love handknit socks, and like to try out different construction techniques. These toe up socks feature a pretty leaf lace framed by mini twisted cables. The garter stitch heel is comfy & easy to work. The lace panel grows into a twisted cable cuff that is both functional & interesting. The lace panel is fairly easy to memorise, and keeping the rest of the sock in stocking stitch makes these ideal travel knitting. The lace panel has both charted and written instructions and a video link for the cast on is included in the pattern. The pattern is written for either magic loop or two circular needles. It is ideal for two at a time knitting, although you can of course knit one at a time if you prefer. Circumference (stretched) Small 7”, Medium 8.5”, Large 9.5” Ideal for hand dyed sock yarns, but any 4ply yarn can be used. Yarns with a small amount of nylon added or that have a very high twist tend to stand up to heavy wear best.

- This pattern shows best with solid or semi-solid coloured yarns. Very stripy, dark or variegated yarns tend to hide the stitch pattern.
