Reminiscent of the string vests my Granny used to make back in the 80's, here is my take on a classic mesh top. It is made to measure, top down, with raglan sleeves. It can be long or short sleeved, and can be made fitted or oversized. This pattern is quick and fun to make, and is suitable for beginners.
