Product Details
These socks were inspired by the one ring in the Lord of The Rings books and movies. On the leg of the sock you can see the 19 rings that were distributed to the three elven-kings, the seven dwarf-lords and the nine mortal men. The one ring once again binds them all and is visible on the ball of the foot. These socks have an unusual construction. You start by knitting the one ring (the band) and then pick up stitches for the toe. After knitting the toe you pick up more stitches around the band and finish your sock toe-up.
Pattern is charted but a file with the written out charts is also included.
Gauge is 9 stitches per inch and 12 rows per inch in stockinette (in the round).
