No purling, no grafting, no long cast on or bind off, no cutting colors for each stripe
Just relaxing garter stitch and an unusual (but easy) construction method
Borrowing a technique from sock knitting, this shawl uses a variation on an afterthought or peasant heel to shoot stripes off in different directions. There's even a video tutorial to walk you through the basics of those techniques, as well as the adaption used in this design.
