Product Details
This pattern came to be as I was thinking about streamlining knitting mittens for charity. I had two major issues I wanted to improve: First, I find knitting the thumb tedious. But if you can split off the thumb, why not split off the hand and work the thumb first? Second, I wanted a round top so that you do not have to worry which mitten is „left“ or „right“ – while wearing and also while knitting!
I also tackled another issue with multiple-sized patterns: the seemingly endless series of numbers when you need different data for different sizes. I put all the relevant information into a table. The written pattern then refers to this table by capital letters, all on one page!
So here it is: a pattern for plain stockinette mittens for small to large hands, easy to knit and easy to wear!
In the spirit of charity, this pattern will be available for free. If you would like to thank me, consider purchasing one of my other designs, for yourself or for a friend!
