The Tinsel Pompom Beanie was made first on Channel 4’s 2017 Kirstie’s Handmade Christmas Show as a 90 minute timed knitting challenge. The good news is that this beanie took me 75 minutes from cast on to pompom, so plenty of time to spare! The oversized fit and slouchy shape are perfect for keeping your head warm without clamping down on your hair (read: no more hat hair!), and the sparkly pompom gives it a festive touch.

- To create a super sparkly pompom, I used some tinsel thread (from some Christmas decorations!!) and wrapped it into the pompom. Super fun and sparkly!
