Product Details
“Too Ra Loo Ra Loo Ra" is an American-Irish lullaby written in 1913 by James Royce Shannon and popularized by Bing Crosby when he recorded it in 1944. It was my favorite lullaby that my mother sang to both me and my sister as children. We all sing it to little Isla now. Inspired by the beautifully simple melody – the Too Ra Loo Ra cowl features an elegant and simple repeated lace pattern. Instructions are included for a long circular scarf version or a shorter traditional cowl size. This pattern is also dedicated to a fellow Irishmen, Seamus kitty, who left us this year. I knit this in his custom dyed colorway, a very Celtic green indeed. Tricia, over at solstice yarns is donating $10.00 for every skein of etoile silken camel sold in this colorway to help puppies and kitties in need.
