Product Details
This asymmetric cardigan is inspired by the way trailing ivy follows the light from the sun. It features chunky cables worked in short-rows to create the attractive curve around the neck. The matching cable is also used for the sleeves, where its size increases slowly to give the visual illusion of a slightly-flared sleeve. The technique is concentrated on the cables around the collar, with the rest knitted in stocking stitch. This is an enjoyable, ‘brain-teaser’ project that will reward you with a beautiful cardigan!
Notes: The model wears size 10/34in
Tension: 18 sts and 24 rows to 10cm over stocking stitch using 5mm needles.
Pattern Notes: The main body is worked flat, with a cir needle used to accommodate the large number of stitches and curve of the raglan. Sleeves are worked in the round using DPNs. If a cir needle is used to work the sleeves, use the Magic Loop method where necessary.
