Special StitchesSpike dc: Insert hook into specified row below the one currently being worked, yarn over and pull up the loop to your working position 2 loops on hook, yarn over and pull through both loops. Be sure to pull the loop up to the height of the row being worked so as to not pull the work tight. Crab Stitch (reverse dc): Working from left to right (or right to left for lefthanded crocheters), insert hook into the next stitch on the right, yarn over and pull up loop, yarn over and pull through both loops on the hook.
