Product Details

Tucker the tortoise loves basking in the sunshine and slowly exploring the garden - he speeds up if he spots a dandelion! He is 7.5 inches by 5 inches (when made with recommended materials). You can make your Tucker crawling or sitting up – the pieces are the same but you will need to sew them on in different positions; instructions for both are included.

The pattern uses US terminology (UK terminology is also available as a separate listing) and can be downloaded after purchase. It is clear to follow with detailed instructions and lots of pictures for step by step making and assembly. There are also picture instructions for colour change and back loop only. I have made Tucker using Scheepjes Stone Washed XL (Aran/worsted weight yarn) - details in pattern.

The following stitches/techniques are used in this pattern: slip stitch, magic ring, single crochet, double crochet, increase, decrease (sc2tog), colour change, back loop only
