This is an experiment with color and admittedly, a great way to use up those little bits of fingering weight yarn that you can’t bear to toss. You know the ones I’m talking about… they just aren’t enough for a full-sized project but they were just such a great color or had sentimental value. In my sample, I have little joyful mementos of past projects that I made throughout the years.
Gather your fingering weight yarns. Lay them in a row, take a photo with your iphone/camera/etc… or just set up the black and white mode. Make three “value” piles- light, medium, and dark. There is no rhyme or reason to the actual hue (colors) but there is one motto that I went by: When I felt scared of choosing the next set of colors, I embraced that fear and dived into the most brazen choices.
