Product Details
In many a knitter's stash is that special skein of yarn—the one picked up as souvenir yarn during a great vacation, that special hand-dyed yarn from an indie dyer or even your own handspun—that you want to use every last scrap of. But your pattern search finds you patterns that require much more or less yardage than you have!
This shawl is the answer. With its unusual increase ratio (3.1 sts to every 4 rows) this curvy heart is interrupted midway with two bands of lace “edging” and finishes, having used most of your yarn, with the tiniest knitted-on border that can be worked from either the RS or WS of the shawl.
For lace and fingering weight yarns I would suggest needle sizes between a US 4 and US 6 (3.5 – 4mm) and available yardage from 460 to 850 yds. (411- 777 meters). For Dk through Worsted/Aran weight yarns I would suggest needle sizes between US8 – US 10 (5mm – 6mm) and yardage from 250 – 450 yards (228 – 411 m)
