I am fascinated with how Trailing Ivy works its path around a wooden trellis panel, delicately entwining itself to become one with the structure. This was the inspiration for my Twisting Ivy sock pattern.
A simple cable works its way through an eyelet mesh giving the socks some easily achievable wow factor. The short pattern repeat and alternate rest rows make the pattern quickly memorisable, these little pretties will be flying off your needles in no time.
These cuff down, heel flap and gusset socks look best when knitted in solid, semi solid or tonal yarn. I have used Eden Cottage Yarns Hayton 4ply, for a luxury sock. A suggested substitute yarn is shown below. Slip them on after a nice soak in the bath and curl up with your knitting… Bliss. Feeling bold, wear them with a pair of Mary Janes or Brogues and wait for the compliments.
The pattern has charted and written instructions (including cuffs). It has been tech edited to ensure your knitting time is as stress free as I can make it.
