Product Details

Knitted with lightweight wool in stocking stitch, this simple raglan sweater is perfect for layering in winter or for wearing over a t-shirt on a cool summer evening. Both the body and sleeves are designed to fit with positive ease.

The stranded patterns are quick to memorise and use only two colours on each row… perfect for a first venture into the art of colour work knitting!

The sample brings colour to the neckband by using one of the shades from the lower body to frame the face.

TxT is worked from the top down with short rows across the back neck. When the raglan shoulders and yoke are finished, the sleeve stitches are put onto waste yarn and the body is worked in the round to the hem. The sleeves are then put onto a small circular needle or magic loop and worked in the round to the bracelet length hem.

Finally, the neck band is picked up from the provisional cast on and worked in 1x1 rib.

The sample utilises a tubular bind off for the neck band and hems.
