Product Details
Veda Shawl is a shallow crescent-shaped shawl knitted top-down in a lovely mix of baby alpaca and bamboo held double for extra warmth.
It has a fantastic drape and the fiber is very soft and silky. The colours I used are light beige (6 skeins with few grams left) and dark brown (2 skeins with few grams left)
It is a quite sizable piece (63" by 17.5") that will come very handy in the winter months.
To make it fun to knit I have incorporated couple of different techniques. The shape is achieved by using a short row shaping. The contrast colour is added not just by knitting simple stripes but also by using slipped stitch for extra interest.
The lace panel is very easy to execute and instructions for it are written and charted.
Truly fun to knit, never becomes boring despite its size!
Timeless and fabulous addition to any wardrobe!
Shown in Classic Elite Yarns Mountaintop Vail in shades Sand and Chestnut. Some substitutes may be shown below.
