Product Details
After taking a wonderful Bruges lace class with master crocheter Tatyana Mirer, I was inspired to design my own Bruges lace project. Since Bruges crochet is an imitation of the classic Belgian lace, this pattern is my way of visiting the Kantcentrum, the lace center in Bruges.
This is a Bruges lace scarf recipe which can be easily customized for use with a variety of yarn weights, lengths, and widths.
If this is your first time making Bruges crochet lace, I have a photo tutorial on the last page to help you join the strips (sometimes known as tape). This is an intermediate level pattern, but an adventurous (and patient) beginner could also tackle this scarf. Once you get started, it works up very quickly.
Materials Any smooth yarn.
A crochet hook appropriately sized to your yarn.
