Product Details

This shawl pattern is designed using two very unusual twisted stitches. The border stitch resembles either ivy or lanterns, and the focal stitch is a very ornately twisted stitch. (There are two methods for both the right and left twist stitch contained within the pattern.)

The shawl is made using worsted weight yarn, and hence is warm. It is perfect for a cool spring night, or fall evening. The patch pockets insure that your shawl stays on your shoulders.

Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a basic knowledge of twisting stitches).

The border and focal stitch are both charted and written out line by line.

The yarn used in the sample is Shepherd Worsted by Lorna’s Laces, in colorway, Sage, but any worsted weight yarn will work for this pattern.

No crochet hooks are needed if you won't want to edge the shawl
