If you love knitting cables, you’ll enjoy this shawl made using worsted weight yarn, guaranteeing that you’ll be warm. The shawl incorporates a little known textured stitch with an ornate cable that shows itself beautifully in this shawl. It also lends itself to tonal variegated yarns. The pockets insure that the shawl will stay put on your shoulders.
Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a basic knowledge of cable knitting).
The cable focal stitch is both charted and written out line by line.
The yarn used in the sample is Shepherd Worsted by Lorna’s Laces, in colorway, Lava Flow, however, any worsted weight yarn will work for this pattern.
There are also instructions for an optional crocheted edging. If you don't want to edge the shawl, you will not need any crochet hooks.
