Product Details
This warm pocket shawl pattern is designed using two very unusual cable stitches: a highly textured stitch cable overlapping cable, and a 7-stitch twisted cable. If you enjoy cabling, you’ll enjoy making this shawl.
The shawl is made using worsted weight yarn, and hence is very warm. The patch pockets insure that your shawl stays on your shoulders.
Skill Level: Beginner + -Intermediate (assuming a basic knowledge of cable knitting). This pattern is probably suited for beginner plus with some chart reading and cabling experience necessary.
Both stitches are charted only.
The yarn used in the sample is Shepherd Worsted by Lorna’s Laces, in colorway, Fjord. However, any worsted weight yarn will work for this pattern.
No crochet hooks are needed if you don't want to edge the shawl or pockets.
