Product Details
We all have single skeins that long for a friend. This shawl allows you to play with contrasting colours and gives each skein a chance to shine. 80-90% of the skeins are consumed in this project, leaving very few scraps behind.
Size: 206cm (81in) across and 70cm (27.5in) deep.
Difficulty: Intermediate.
Knitters should be capable of reading lace and brioche written instructions and obtaining gauge to ensure proper flow between sections.
Yarn:
3 skeins of fingering weight yarn, Suburban Stitcher Yarn, Single Sock (100% merino, 400yds/100g)
Wisper
Coal
Peach Tea
I chose these based on the colours; they have enough contrast to make the brioche sections pop and the lace doesn’t get lost in colour variegation.
Supplies:
Suggested needle size:
3.5mm (US 4), 80cm (32in) long circular needle
4.5mm (US 7), 80cm (32in) long circular needle for lace sections.
The needle size may vary, depending on the gauge obtained.
1 central stitch marker to identify the centre spine.
