What you'll need
Product Details
Being Welsh, I had to design a traditionally costumed doll for St David's Day!
Wearing the national flower of Wales (the daffodil) on her shawl, this doll would be a lovely companion for any child on March 1st.
This knitting pattern is suitable for those with just a little experience: worked flat in stocking stitch on 4.5mm straight knitting needles (so no knitting in the round needed) the instructions are step-by-step and include illustrations to help you with the sewing up. We used a selection of inexpensive Stylecraft Special and Paintbox Chunky yarns to knit this doll but you can use any chunky yarn you fancy.
To make your Welsh Doll you will need: 4.5mm straight knitting needles, some chunky yarn, stuffing, a pair of 6mm toy safety eyes and a darning needle.
Welsh doll measures 40cm tall when completed (including hat)
Designed in Wales, in the heart of the Brecon Beacons- we also have a Welsh Dragon Knitting Pattern available, please see our other listings!
