Sometime a shawl is all you need on a windy day….
Windswept combines all the elements needed for a perfect knitting experience. A little garter, some simple lace and a bit of cables. Worked sideways from end to end, on the bias, the gradual increases on one side only, work to produce its asymmetrical shape. The shawl can be worn in many ways, wide side on back, wide side on front or, simply as a scarf.
Measurements: approximately 84” wide and 18” deep (213 cm x 46 cm) after blocking.
Yarn used: 2 skeins ofCape May Fibers Sock (75% Superwash Merino, 25% Nylon) – 100g/450 yds per skein: MC - Naturally Dyed Cranberry- approx. 400 yards CC - Jetty – approx. 200 yards.

Needles: Set of US size 5 (3.75 mm) or size needed to obtain correct gauge.
Notions: Cable needle, darning needle, blocking pins
Gauge: 20 sts 40 rows = 4” (10cm) in garter st, blocked.
